I spent twice the price to buy a BMW E89 ...
Why is the price of BMW cars in China is much higher than other countries do? For example, Z4 sDrive35is in the United States sells for 61,925 U.S. dollars (converted RMB 423,000 yuan), but the actual selling price in China Z4 sDrive35is is 838,000 yuan, almost double the price, we buy a BMW than in the United States or Germany to pay more ... but I like BMW E89, I will buy one!

I've been over this, purchasing power and the simple fact that we buy tons more cars than any other country. we're always the largest percentage of sales of car manufacturers. simple as that....

Taxes and import tarrifs play a huge part.
In the U.S. we don't even list the taxes in the price, but the VAT rate is low anyway (3% to 6% for most states) China imposes a 25% import tarriff, then a 17% VAT on top of that. That's a 46% compounded penalty right there!

Admire you so learned, the original issue of taxation, but China's BMW3 and BMW5, has production bases in China, why the price is still twice as expensive as it? |

Why is the UK cheaper? I thought UK cars are more expensive because of the right hand drive. Less volumes are solld, so the extra costs are higher per unit. EdP Last edited by zEdP; 06-04-2010 at 03:04 PM.. |

Buy your grandma a plane ticket to the US, and you'll have money left out of that $80K to buy her a 650i over here!
