Bmw x1 2014 can't open doors
Hello,
I would like to ask you if someone could help me with problem. My car is bmw x1 2014. I have problem open my doors. I have key but remote control is not opening doors or windows and physical keys the lock is broken so i can't use it. I manage open bonnet i tried charge battery but even that didn't help. Also i tried open door from inside with handle but nothing happened. Also guy check key if everything is ok and he said yes, battery is on motherboard so i can't change it. Anyone could help me please? |

I assume you only have one key so can’t try a backup. When you say you checked the key, you verified that the battery still has a charge? This must not be a comfort access car if the battery is on the motherboard of the fob. Technically those are not user serviceable but it can be done. You will need to cut open the fob and I believe do a bit of soldering. Replacement batteries are available on eBay and there are videos on YouTube that show how to do this if you are able to try. If it’s a fob issue and not a car issue you should also be able to order a new key from the dealer with a VIN. I did this as the car I purchased only came with one key and I wanted a spare. It wasn’t cheap though, around $350 I think. But that may vary from dealer to dealer.
