What tire shine is everyone using?

Just like the topic states, couldn’t find anything so making a new post. I use the Meguiars Insane tire sine foam, any better? It seems to hold up the rain for a bit too.

After applying on all tires I make another round with an old Kirkland yellow and wipe the excess off. Well actually I work at it until there is no shine.

Perl and other water based dressings don't last at all if you drive in rain. None of them do really, but DarkSide is the longest lasting in rain. My favorite looking for darkness is Armour Detail Tire+, but again, it's water based.

When my current bottle of Perl is finished I intend to try DarkSide and see how long it lasts vs. the 2 coats of Perl I usually apply.

I’ll have to try DarkSide and Perl sometime. I currently use Chemical Guys VRP (shiny look) or Adams Graphene Tire Dressing (satin look)

I like my CarPro PERL diluted 1:1 . It's true it won't last an extreme long amount as it is water based (I usually maintenance wash my car every 1-3 weeks) but it seems to survive some rain as when I go back to clean it I can see the tire is still hydrophobic and still has a slight layer. It's not as rich either by then but you know, you can still see some darkening effect so to say.

Maybe I should try Dark side to but I do enjoy how cheap and simple it is to apply my current Perl. I use Perl in other areas as well like engine bay dressing, interior dressing, external plastics.

I use both of these for my daily. It seems like the Graphene holds up a little bit better.

I don’t dilute it and when I have the time apply a second coat after the first one is totally dry. This approach seems to last longer.

I used to do undiluted as well but noticed the CarPro related websites recommended 2 thin coats of 1:1 with 20 minute+ dry time was optimal. And being able to spray an atomized product right onto the sponge applicator was nice. But admittedly, I don't wait the full 20 mins, I do 4 wheels, then move the car a bit and do my second coat and do the small spots I missed.

But hey you know what I am curious now, next time I will do one side 1:1 and the other side undiluted and I'll be able to have a more clear comparison. I do agree with you I am sure the undiluted last longer. PERL is also cheap enough to be used neat.

I still use Armor All with a sponge, then wipe dry. It works. I find that for best results the tire has to be ultra clean first, so I use PPG 330 every now and again to get any accumulated antiozonant off, then Armor All/wipe dry.

I don't like the look of super shiny or slimy tires. I have been using this product with good results.
