Visting Santa Barbara...Any Advice???
I have a wedding in Los Angeles next Sunday night, so my wife and I are staying Santa Barbara for 4 nights starting on Wednesday. My wife and I have spent a good deal of time in Lagina and in LA, but we have never been to Santa Barbara.
We are staying at the Bacara. Any recommendations for restaurants? Things to do? Etc? Thanks in advance. |

The Barcara is located in the north end of the city about 12 miles from downtown. What type of food are you looking for. SB has great food and entertainment. Looking for clubs, bars, history???? Let me know, lived here all my life and know the city pretty well.

We like evrything...especially stuff with an "Asian" flare. We also want to know what to do during the days as it doesn't look like "poolside" weather.

Just head to the downtown area, 100 to 700 block of State St. For sushi, Arigato, look it up, its the best in town. Happy hour, I like Fish House down by the beach, State and Anacapa. Night life, Tonic and The Wildcat are must sees.

Go to Solvang, and go check out some wineries. Its a lot of fun if you enjoy wine and its nice and scenic as well. State street is also nice to go to some shops, but I prefer heading to Solvang still. I'm also a fan of the Andalucia hotel, which is off state street.

good start stayin at Bacara, real nice resort away from the city...I suggest you just cruise the town and ask the locals. Definitely cruise state street there's a lot of places in and out of the place. I went to school in sB real nice place!
