Gearbox issue

Hi all
Wondering if anyone could shed some light on an issue that has happened a couple of times.
Basically it seems to happen when the engine is cold

But it like when setting off 1st gear seems to stick an the car revs an jerks then it drives normally

Its only happened amfew times.

bmw x1 e84 diesel automatic 59 plate

Mine does this, as I pull out of my road onto the high street it holds first gear well into the rev range, then slams it into second.

It's only ever on that first shift, normal thereafter.

My hunch is it's not building enough fluid pressure in the box until it's got moving, but it's an uneducated guess.

In any case I'll be doing a fluid, filter, mechatronic service on it soon.
