What about the specs of your car when you had the Arc 8s?

Mr_Jack... You have a serious wheel problem. BTW, did you like the Velgens or the Apex Arc 8s better? I believe Apex wheels are flow formed, TUV and JWL certified. The Velgens VM804s you posted are also flow formed, but not sure if they are certified.

You guys think the x1 can pull off 17s with 225/45 and 255/40 tires (.9" smaller than stock). I feel so attached to these wheels since I had them shipped from Germany and refinished in Cali. It's not like the X1 is a big car, right?

@Mr_Jack, those tires look awesome, LOVE IT! That's exactly the look I've been trying for, smallish rims (17") with huge meaty tires. Is that size right, are those really 275 width R17 tires on there, and they fit okay with no spacers?

wheels - Apex
size and offset - 17x? et?
spacers - none
tires (size and brand) - 275/40/17

Looking to put some 19's on the wifes X1. Whats the widest I can run fun and rear? I see Mr Jack has 295's but it sounds like its a pretty tight squeeze. Would a 275 rear 255 front be better?

Just picked these up, got a deal I couldn't pass! style 166 off an E60 M5
19x8.5 et12, 19x9.5 et28

The front offsets are obviously pretty low but I think (hope) they'll fit without any real issues.

I'll be test fitting them in the week or two before I order tires. Will do an "official" post once I get them on and drive them!

The front offset is way too low. They will stick out pass the fenders for sure.

Yeah, I was a little concerned; but based on others' setups, I saw these and figured I'd give it a try. I've always admired 166's. if I don't like the fitment I will just sell them and hopefully make a little $.

it's stock M sport suspension so I'm not worried about rubbing. The front offsets are only a few mm (literally around 0.04 of an inch) lower than some of the other set ups on here, but a narrower rim. So I'll see how the test fit goes.

But even if I hate it, no harm no foul. I still have the oem 225's.

It's going to be quite cheeky.
Here's 18x8 et13 with just a slight poke on the front.
Your going to be 7mm farther out, so basically the entire lip will be outside your fender, but that's about it.

The poke will be more pronounce once you wrap corresponding width tires. At that width you're looking at around 245 for fronts and 265-275 for rears.
