Toggle to show engine temp?
This appeared in another thread, but the 'how to' remained unanswered, so I thought I'd post it separately.
The other thread referred to some means of adding 'engine temp' or 'coolant temp' to the list of checks that can be accessed from the left stalk toggle; the same one that currently offers to check the oil or recognize the tire pressures. So the question; can engine/coolant/oil temperature indeed be added, and how is it done? And a giant Bronx cheer to the damnfool who gave us 'manifold vacuum' but no temp gauge in the 4 cylinder cars. What were they thinking? Moon |

The first session should be free, I'd make a list of all the programming you want then get it all done at once. After that I'm sure you're wallet would hate you. That's what my dealer told me anyways. Go in and ask, they should give you one free session though.

There's a post on this forum somewhere that lists everything. Pretty much any engine sensor can be displayed

5 min search. The list shown here is still just a few of the things that can be programmed. Give a good search in the e90 forums, those guys are more knowledgeable about programming |

Okay, inquired of our salesperson, who then checked with service.
They were unable to do any of these things, according to her. Any more guidance to offer? Moon |

They can do it. Clearly your dealer isn't very helpful. There's lot of guys on the E90 forums that program for people for cheap. I don't know any of them because my dealer is super wicked awesome.
