X28d in US
Now that the 328d (2.0 with 180 hp/280 lb torque)is being introduced starting in July will we get the engine for the X1. It's being introduced at the New York Auto Show and would think it would make it to the X3 and maybe the X1. Supposed to get 40 mpg in the 3 series.

Doubtful. We haven't gotten any of the other diesels, not even the current top diesel model, 25d.
And since 2014 is out already, it would at earliest be 2015 models, at which time the switch to FWD-bias and the same platform as the Mini is likely going to happen, so who knows - anything might happen. I doubt it, though - I think a hybrid X1 is more likely. |
