How many X1s have you seen on the road?
So many you've lost count?
As for me, in the Los Angeles area, I have seen exactly two - both after I had bought my own (as of 11/24). I saw a Mineral Grey not far from my home, and yesterday a Valencia Orange X1 pulled up right behind me on the freeway access road in downtown as I left work. Mine's Midnight Blue. It's sort of fun to be one of the first on the road in the US with this model, but that feeling won't last too long, I bet... |

A guy across the street from us has an Alpine White 28i and we saw a black, bare bones sDrive just last week. I've seen the dealer's demo VO 28i rolling around too, but so far that's it. When we bought our 2008 135i in Orange County, it took ages too see others, but eventually we saw tons of 1ers around, even after moving to Dallas. I suspect the X1 will not be quite as popular, but certainly less rare than my old Z3 M Coupe.

I'm in Orange County, CA. We've only seen 2 on the road, no M Sports.

I've seen so many that I lost count.
mostly alpine white and mineral white 28i but seen a few 35i M sport with 19" oem wheels. I think up here we get the car a year earlier. It's funny to see post of people are so excited when their X1 arrive. |

TBH, I have no idea. From a quick glimpse, I cannot tell an X3 apart from an X1. Especially older X3s which were smaller. Sure, there are signs, but I don't pay attention to them while driving. There are probably X5s I've thought were X3s too. All I see are some BMW crossovers.

To me X3s, newer or older models, are taller and squatter. X5s seem huge. I have only seen a couple X6s. But they really stand out. Nothing else on the road looks quite like that.
I like that apparently there'll be a new X1 for the 2015 model year. It's nice to think our 2013 and the 2014 model year X1s will be both the first and last years for this version in the US... |

Anyway- here in the Silicon Valley, I've seen exactly 2 X1's. Oddly enough both of them are Alpine white stripped down models with no lines and no navigation ( I could see a Tom-Tom stuck to the windshield on one, and I could see the storage compatrtment in place of the screen on the one that was parked). |

I see X5's alot here in the sc midlands. But i have only seen 2 X1's since i bought mine back in October. 1 white x1 & a silver 1. Which makes me happy cause i got something unique. Especially having the Valencia orange.

From when I ordered to when I got my car I saw no X1's on the road. The week I got mine I saw another one. Turned out to be a loaner car from the local BMW emporium. Still have not seen another customer car here along the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains. Tons of X3, X5, 3 and 5 series cars with a sprinkling of 7 series. Given that BMW has only sold slightly over 6K units in the US so far that is not terribly surprising.
Does make it simply to find my car in the parking lot at Christmas time. |

Only two in Iowa City so far, including an alpine white one today as I walked to my car. I'll admit, I hope they are as rare by the time mine arrives.

I've seen one or two X1s Including my X3, I've seen a dozen or so X5s are all over the place -- you can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting an X5. |

3 total. One white, one blue, both non M-Sport. And a mineral grey M-Sport directly in front of me, driven by my wife, on our way home, after picking up her new X1 last weekend.
