Dealer made a mistake in my order!?
OK, I just got my production number and I went to track it. I notice the following on my order:
M Sport Line •High-gloss Roof Rails •Sport suspension •Increased top speed limiter •M steering wheel •M Sports leather steering wheel with paddle shifters •Aerodynamic kit •Sport seats •Anthracite headliner •Shadowline exterior trim •Chrome-line exterior trim <---- WTF????? I didn't order that. So what now? Is it too late to change? The car is already in production and scheduled to complete prod Nov 30. |

Nothing may be wrong. There was an earlier thread where someone's color was listed as White but their car came in correctly. Sometimes the system just lists odd things I think.

I have found that the customer side order info can be wrong, your dealer though should be able to contact BMW to get the build details to check for accuracy. If that confirms the error and is actually in production the choices id think would be to keep and not pay for it or reorder with perhaps some accessory thrown in for your inconvenience
Have you tried calling the phone number to check on it? They usually have the correct info in advance if the online interface by a day or two |

Never mind! The dealer salesman said he double-checked the order form and there is no chrome trim there. So the BMW website made a mistake, again.
Whoever runs the BMW website really needs to be kicked in the nuts repeatedly. There are mistakes all over the place. |

I think it's an error in the order system.
Mine too lists both shadowline exterior trim and chrome exterior trim, and they are mutually exclusive. I expect to get it without chrome (unless BMW has started using REAL chrome again like on cars of yore, in which case, bring it on). It also lists both M Steering Wheel and M-Sport Steering Wheel With Paddle Shifters, and I'm obviously not going to get both. |

You assume the dealer knows the truth or even cares. For sure some do, but my experience is proof that there are some out there that can't be bothered to do what's expected. Had my CA acted when I expressed concern over the paddle shifters just one week after placing my order, my car would have been equipped with them and I would be a much happier customer.

Hey man, mine said that as well. I think it's just with the m-sport line. No worries. Mine came without the chrome lines....

I ordered the chrome line on my M Sport and as far as I can tell its real unlike what they put on Mini's which is fake.
