Winter Tires - Nokian Hakka R or Michelin X-Ice Ii2
Hi everyone,
I am debating on which winter tires to get for my new X1 . I have read good things about both. I have used Nokians before on my A4 and loved them. But just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Xi2? The price quote I got is the same for both tires. The guy at the tire shop said the Nokians may be a little "squirmy/wobbly" to drive on dry pavement and may reduce the X1 performance and try to convince me to go with the Michelin (my heart said Nokian). I am located in Toronto and would welcome anyone's feedback/opinion on these tires. Thx. |

Nokians are good but I was told that they have gotten expensive lately.

I have used both. I donīt know if it is the same spec on them here in Scandinavia...
My feeling is that the Nokian are a little, just a little, bit better on ice. BUT, the Nokian (7) are very, very, very noisy... |

you do the math. It only comes to 850$ - 70$ michelin mail in rebate = 780$ all in. Not bad hein? |

Not bad as I was quoted $250/tire.
After doing some research on the internet, I've decided to go for the Nokian. It seems to get alot of positive feedback from the users. |
