2013 U.S. X1 Prices paid, order details Share Yours

Hey everyone- I didn't see this thread yet and as I'm going to be negotiating an X1 purchase soon I wanted to see how others are doing.

Please list your options and invoice up pricing or just pricing. Thanks!

My build will likely be:
xDrive28i
Glacier silver
Beige Nevada leather
Wood trim
Premium + Lighting packs (gotta have those xenons)
Servotronic
Paddles
Heated seats
MSRP: $40,315 with invoice $36,9xx

Hoping for less than $1000 over invoice but Seattle area BMW dealers are not known to reduce price.

I think this is a unique opportunity for US buyers, as even though this is a brand new model, it's been in production and available in the rest of the world for some time now, meaning we won't have to wait an eternity for the delivery of a factory ordered car, as production has been at full tilt for awhile.

It's also nice to see that dealers are already doing deals at less than a $1,000 over invoice, as this will no doubt be a volume seller for most dealerships, and their money can be recouped through multiple sales.

Can you imagine this happening when the new M3 is introduced?! I don't think so!

The X1 is an awesome vehicle at a great price (for a BMW at least!) and I can't wait to order mine...

When did you order?

Had you been able to attend a "Drive for USA" event or did you get to $730 over invoice without the help for drive event?

Has anyone been able to get Comfort Access as a standalone option when ordering? All this package BS is getting on my nerves.

Looks like you can do it on an X3 but not an X1.... the package thing is a bit much I agree.

So far in talking with 3 different dealerships within driving distance, the best offer I've gotten is 3% off sticker price. I'm not finished yet though!

Did not attend a Drive for USA, so didn't get any type of rebate. Price paid of $730 over invoice was the first offer the dealer came back with and I jumped on it. Was about $1,000 less than the other two local dealers I was at earlier in the day. Confirmed that it is being loaded on the car carrier this morning (Monday) in Baltimore and will be at my dealer this evening. Hoping to pick it up after work tomorrow.

I asked for $2K off MSRP for a "just delivered" (according to cars.com) Mineral White/ black leather x28i with the winter package. The salesman countered with $1,500 off MSRP. Combined with the "Drive" rebate ($1,000 for taking an X3 for a spin two weeks ago.) and the BMW loyalty rebate ($750), I wasn't going to quibble. The salesman was pretty honest about it. He said the MSRP markup over invoice was 7%, which was right on the money, according to invoice numbers posted on this message board.

He also said, normally, he would have said okay to $2K off MSRP with no trade, but the demand for X1s is outrageous and the dealers can't get enough cars. The one that I bought was scheduled to be the demo. Every X1 that the dealer ordered is already sold.

He also said that most of the cars that they can get, seem to be Mineral White or Dark Blue x28is and they all have the black leather.

So what price did you end up getting? Inquiring minds want to know.

I wanted to clarify that the BMW "Drive" $1,000 is subtracted off before tax, at least here in NY. The BMW Loyalty $750 is a rebate that is subtracted off of the final price.

This may have been posted before, so if it has, feel free to post me a link as I couldn't find anything quickly. But curious what fees are included in your cost when you say $xxx above invoice or $xxx below MSRP. I saw on a previous post a quote with $1000 savings yet there were over $1000 of fees. To me, this is is paying over MSRP. Is everyone comparing apples-to-apples? Thanks for your input.

Garage List
We just ordered my wife's X1 xdrive28i
with the following options:
Valencia Orange
M sport line
M sport wheel with paddle shifters
225m wheels
premium package
lighting package
technology package
heated seats

We contacted three dealerships, none seemed particularly eager/willing to negotiate much. The dealership I purchased my last car from agreed to $500 below msrp without much hassle. we probably could have gotten anouth $500 off if i'd been persistent. My S.A. said they are only coming down from msrp for previous BMW customers. Seems many dealerships are very proud of this car at the moment.

To the last poster, I think all dealerships charge the $895 destination fee but there shouldn't be any other charges unless you are leasing.

On top of the $500 off msrp we also received the $750 owner loyalty and $300 ultimate drive app incentives. MSRP on our build was $45,545, invoice was $42,425, we are paying 43,995, plus we are having the dealership broker the sale of my wife's outgoing GTI which will save us around $1000 in sales tax.

We paid more than I would have liked, but a happy wife equals a happy husband, and I can still go drive my 335 into the ground if she finds other reasons to give me hell.

X1 35i xDrive
M Sport Line
Black Sapphire Metallic
Black Nevada Leather
Driver Assistance Package
Ultimate Package
Technology Package
M Sport Package
Heated Front Seats
Satellite Radio
BMW Apps

$48200 MSRP + $895 destination charge $49095

Got it down to $46325, invoice is $45330 so paid $995 over invoice. This is for a vehicle already on the lot; they offered me to order one at $500 over invoice.

I stacked the BMW college graduate discount on top of this for another $1000 off, so all said and done I got it right at invoice. $500 drive away cash, $646 / mo lease with nothing down.

$1K over invoice

Just helped a friend order an X1 Sdrive 28i at $1K over invoice
In Atlanta, at Global Imports. Add to that MACO at $400, and a training fee at $180, and a Document Fee of $599. I don't know if the TrueCar price or the Edmunds TMV includes these fees or not; we came in below the TMV. I don't think you can escape MACO and the BMW training fee. You probably should be able to negotiate the doc fee lower if you're willing to sit in the dealership all day, deal with multiple managers, walk out, etc, etc. I think my deal was decent for a brand new model in demand.

I had an offer that was $480 over invoice (not including the drive rebate). I ended up taking an offer from a closer dealership for $730 over invoice. The extra $250 wasn't worth the hassle of driving an hour away. Best advice I can give you is to call several dealerships. Most of the ones I contacted didn't want to deal until they heard my lowest offer and even then they couldn't beat the price.

Just took delivery of x1 28i -- Love it!

I just came out of an E92 lease and I loved that car.

I took delivery of a Mineral White 28i x drive with Cold Weather, Ultimate but didn't bother with the special trims. I took it as a 36 mo. lease with 15K p/yr. Essentially negotiated a flat deal; MSRP $40,745, selling price $37,562, included the $1000 for the Olympic Drive and $750 for loyalty. The other nice bit is that doing the deal in NJ, I could apply multiple security deposits, which further reduced my monthly payment (at least I get it back at lease end) down to $435 and change a month. I'm not sure if that's available in any other state. The dealer was also kind enough to eat my last payment on the turn in. I have yet to see another one on the road around here, but I expect them to be popping up soon.

It doesn't feel as tacked down to the road my old sport packaged E92, but it's more than adequate, still drives better than the others I've tried (Tiguan, Audi Q ... won't even put the F30 in this company). It's still plenty zippy enough to get me into trouble with tickets if I'm not careful and very agile. It's also nice that I don't have to fill the tank every 4 days.

And now I don't even mind hauling the dog around. Was a real pain getting a German Shepherd into a coupe.

I'm getting a price here in the Bay Area on a moderately loaded X1 xdrive28i of ~1k over invoice (this is the base invoice, unadjusted for MACO, dealer holdback), or ~5.6% under MSRP. Was hoping for closer to $500 (which from my calcs will still afford dealer a 3% profit), but haven't been able to find any dealers here who will negotiate down that far

Send a message via Skype™ to stgunther
In Minneapolis, I ordered a configuration with dealer cost figures as follows:
X1 xdrive28i 29,760
Metallic paint 500
Cold Weather Package 635
Premium 3,595
Fineline wood trim 455
NET total: 34,945

Destination 895
MACO 250
Service fee 180
Profit: 750
TOTAL: 37,020
I was told MACO and Service fee are non-negotiable in Minnesota. Including those, I paid 1180 over dealer cost. Another dealer offered to sell me the car at 995 over cost
(including MACO and Service fee). I chose the first dealer for reputation and proximity.

Here in the Great Northwest, BMW is very proud of their new X1. Didn't matter that I currently drive a BMW, no discount. Wasn't going to take BMW FS dollars for a crappy interest rate. Paid full retail minus a small deduction due to some damage that occurred in transportation. And the M Sport Line DOES NOT come with paddle shifters like it says it does. (Somehow the dealer has to manually edit something to actually get them.) So they took $120 off the price since I wanted them and didn't get them. And I already ordered the vehicle before the 'Drive' special so I missed that, too.

But... It's the wife's car and she's happy with it, Mineral Grey Metallic and Coral Red. It's getting window tint and VentureShield as I type!

Shred $1400 off msrp before tax. Salesman was a nice guy.

xDrive28i base
woodtrim + leather
paddle shifter steering wheel (for resale value)
Metalic painting

after tax, after inspection, registration, dealership fee, destination fee, etc. $36000
