Clutch Failure - XBimmers

Hi

Well my BMW X1 2.0 X-Drive is not even 4 months old and the clutch has failed on it. The carr is currently in the dealership having this replaced. I should hopefully get the car back today all being well.

Makes you wonder if this is just bad luck or part of a bigger problem as the clutch shouldn't fail on such a new car.

Let's hope it was just an isolated incident.

Mine will have the automatic gearbox, hope it will work fine for many years....

Well the dealership ordered a new clutch which came today but BMW emailed them and said they want another part fitting too even though it's not damaged which costs £900. So that's coming tomorrow. Sounds like either a belt and braces approach by BMW or they know of an issue.
