BMW do have pricing, it just doesn't seem to have been made public yet. The xDrive23d is approx 60K incl GST.

Best thing is no Luxury car tax due to the average fuel consumption being under 7 L/100km!

The 23d with sunroof, Interior aluminium, Xenons, Harmon/Kardon and a couple of other little things comes up round the mid 70s on road.

we went through it all, but only got a print out so far of what I selected over and above standard. Its similar to the UK specs but with a few extras standard like leather, auto lights, wipers, cruise control...

full uk brochure here: http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/digitalbr...-bmwuk,00.html

No idea why the AUS website hasn't been updated, but knowing BMW there is sure be be some kind of strategy behind it.

just spoke to dealer today and they are taking orders. they have all pricing and options in the system. ballpark figure for well-specced X1-23d (sunroof, heated seats, sat nav etc..) is to be around $75k. because both models are under 7L/100km fuel consumption, they are excempt from LCT. don't expect delivery for another 6 months though!

Question X1 Pricing

Here is the X1 pricing from my dealer (attached). What do you think is a reasonable discount that can be achieved from the dealer?

ouch that's pretty pricey .. but i guess for a BMW in Australia, it's probably pretty cheap.

for comp. mine is fully loaded and came in at AUD 68.7k (equiv)

Thats actually less of a difference to what I would expect, considering they have to put the thing on a boat for 45+ days, hedge against a very volatile inflated currency, pay an import tariff, and sell into a country of only 20 odd million people.

Now comparing Porsche prices here to the UK/US on the other hand... just doesnt make any sence at all!

Even though Portugal is part of the EU, each government can decided what sort of taxes they impose. Portugal has very high taxes on cars, one of the most, if not the most, expensive places to buy a car within the EU. If you add that to the fact that the average Portuguese salary is one of the lowest in the EU....you have an extremely pissed of nation....but what else is new?

I ordered one for the wife in November with pretty much the same spec and got a similar type of deal. You can't expect the dealers to discount very much when the car hasn't even been launched in the country yet. You always pay alot more for a newly released car. They will be doing better deals after the car has been here over a year or so.

its funny about the April launch because I've got a confirmed delivery date of late march!!! The same dealer also delivered an X6M to a customer before it was launched in the country also...
