Yes I have changed the bolts. The package included 2 front spacers 1.5cm and 2 rear spacers 2cm plus new bolts for all rims.
It cost me 250 euros and the look improvement believe me is huge!!! |

Spacers are metal rings that come between the discs and wheel hub assembly and the inside of the rim.
It creates an extra "space" (hence the name) and makes it look as if the tires are wider than they really are, as they stick out slightly more.

My pleasure.
I was gonna ask you to perhaps post pictures of your X1 after spacers install, but I see you read my mind!

Oh I see. Thanks for the explanation guys. And for the pics Dimitri! Yep, get it now, looks greater.
Hm, where did you order it? Is it available for international orders? Not that I would order it before I even get my car lol, but to know if it's an option. Hm, gives extra splatter on cars behind you on rainy days? On highways. |

Thanks for the pics dimitris33, one question though, is there not a greater danger now of stone chips?

That's an interesting concern ! First time I hear someone worrying on his car's water trail during rainy days ! Well, what if it does? More rain vs less rain, nobody's gonna sue you over that ! But to answer your well, original question, no, it should not, as the tire footprint is not impacted by the spacers installation.

Had some issues with my screen whipers on my C30 and am freaked up by extra water splatter lol. Well when it's just wet, it also leaves a splatter on highways. Stone chips concern? x)
Hm but regardless of the tire footprint, the tire gets pushed out a bit, and the car is no longer blocking a portion of the tire that's sticking out. Hm does that not make sense? Last edited by Kres7787; 03-24-2011 at 07:30 AM.. |

It does make sense but in my country most of the 365 days is sunny!
I have the spacers on for about 20days and still is sunny out here so cannot compare the spray on the rear side before and after the spacers installation. I think that the spray will be more now anyway as the tyre footprint is little more outside now. Mud flaps is a solution if you care so much about spray and you live in rainy countries. |

Well I can't think of anything else. Other then prostitutes. Are we talking about prostitutes?
No TV? How come? That can only be a good thing. My TV wasn't plugged into power for like 6 months. Just filling up what would otherwise be a big TV hole in the closet. Old CRT TV. $50 worth... I'm completely butchering the topic... |
