Brake upgrade options

2009 E91 330D remapped 43K miles.

Both front pads (original) and rear pads (2nd set) are requiring replacement in about 1000miles, probably the disks as well - the front disks looked blued after the last lot of spirited driving. So would like some improved braking performance
Will do the work myself. Ive done a couple of track days in it but we are really talking fast road use as a daily runner.

I could keep to OEM disk (? Pagid) with better pads (which though? Ferodo, EBC , Brembo) and/or go for drilled/dimpled/slotted disks.
Ive read that the drilled etc disks look nice but add little to braking performance, but can cause extra braking noise and cracking especially the drilled disks.
I dont want to go to the trouble of changing calipers. I was originally thinking about MTech dimpled with EBC redstuff pads, but now Im uncertain as to what to do.

Any suggestions ?

335 discs and callipers would be a good upgrade, straight fit and genuine BMW parts. But you don't want to change callipers...

I've got cool carbon pads with oem pagid discs. Stainless hoses and ate super blue brake fluid. Works well..

Thanks - however according to RealOEM.com the 2009 LCI 330D and 335D share the same front brake disk - part no 34116855000. So I had assumed any major disk/caliper upgrade from the from the single piston/sliding OEM ones would be to uber-expensive multi-piston calipers.

Are your pads significantly better over OEM ?

I recently put a set of Stop tech Slotted rotors and pads on my buddy's 09 335i front and rear. I can tell you that the initial bite is not as dramatic, but after some spirited mountain driving, they kept a much firmer pedal compared to the oem setup I am running in my car.

StopTech look very nice and have a great reputation but are pretty expensive in the UK when shipping and import tax is added. I will probably go with something that's as good but is made in the UK as it will probably be cheaper.

Ive found a StopTech UK supplier - £209 for slotted disks per pair. This is a similar price to most other slotted disks available here. In USA they are $280 (about £166). Its not called "Rip-off Britain " for nothing

. I usually bring a few tools back home with me after visiting the USA.

Anyone used Textar E-Pads ? Listed as "performance" brake pads. Any good?

I forgot to mention that the pads I used with the Stop tech rotors were Hawk pads. But also check out EBC. They have several different formulations of pads that range from racing pads, to low brake dust and more. Cant speak for Textar however.

I have a couple of sets of ATE discs (OEM) and a full set of Yellowstuff pads all BNIB for sale, see my sig for link. These are rated as a great upgrade over standard by many on this site and I was going to fit to my 335d, but ended up selling the car before I got the chance.
