Is There Tax On Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Etc In NJ ?

for higher items like Louis vuitton, gucci, burberry, etc is there a sales tax in nj or is it the same as clothing and you get charged nothing?

Yeah... they are considered "accessories" So you will pay tax.

cuz tax on a 4000 purse isnt cheapp... umm i believe theres no tax on clothing, but there is on accessories i believe

Order them from LosAngelas on rodeo drive and have them ship it to you. I saved a few grand on my wifes " OMG I love this " items.

How's this possible? If the store operates in your state, then you'll get taxed on it regardless, no?

Well...this "LosAngelas" place sounds like it is a one location shop. Technically, if you purchase something online from a store who has a location in your state, they are required to charge sales tax. On online purchases from out-of-state purchasers, you're actually supposed to claim that on your tax returns and pay tax for it at the end of the year.

Does that happen? Hell no.

only way you wont get taxed buying LV is if you goto the saks 5th ave LV store, you buy w/e you want. and just have them ship to you, it has to be outer state. that way no tax just 15 shipping fee. Good deal if your buying something over 300$

If you got it then buy it. The same way you buy a BMW and dump thousands of dollars into it to make it go faster. Thats the same way women love purses and shoes etc.

Why?, i have no frikin idea. Its not like her life revolves around it, its just something she really likes. Like a $50,000 BMW.
