Adam’s Glass Sealant

I hate cleaning glass. I’ve tried all sorts of methods but I always manage to leave streaks. Ideally I want to apply Adam’s Glass Sealant but I’m concerned that I won’t get it clean enough before I apply the sealant. Anyone have experience with this product or similar and if so what’s the best way to get perfect glass before application? I’m assuming 50/50 distilled water and IPA but I’m open to any advice. Thanks!

If you want to be thorough you can machine polish then wipe down with full strength IPA. Generally for my customers cars I scrub the windshield with a scrub bad w/ degreaser, pressure wash off the windshield, IPA wipe then apply Adams glass sealant.

That’s great advice thanks. I was thinking I would wash and clay it first then IPA. The glass is only a few weeks old so that’s good. What kind of cloth do you recommend I use?

I think I can help. Definitely want to prep the glass before a sealant.

Clay is good advice; you could use Adam’s Brilliant Glaze to prep the window too. It is easy to apply and remove; can be used inside the windows too.

I didn’t use Adams’ glass sealant; I use Adam's Graphene Ceramic Glass Coating. Didn’t last too long and won’t recommend this. I will try Griot’s glass sealer next time. I need to do my sunroof soon to help with my washing.

As for streak-free cleaning; I like Adam’s glass cleaner - green bottle with Griot's Garage PFM Crinkle Glass Towels. Normally, you need towel to clean and then come back with a clean towel to buff.
I tried so many towels for a streak-free and even the diamond window towels. They all streak and grab the windows. I love the crinkle glass towels.

It seems like most products from Adams’ you need a towel to apply and then a towel to buff. Especially, their slick & slide…etc….

I’m currently use this for my glass cleaning:

SONAX Glass Cleaning Microfiber Cloths | Lint-Free Waffle Weave Towels for Streak-Free Glass & Mirrors | Ultra-Absorbent, Non-Shedding, High Clarity Finish | 3-Pack | 451541 | 16" x 16"

It is pretty good; wipes smoothly.

Streakingnglass is technique 100%.

You need to have a wet towel and a dry towel. The wet towel is the one we use with our glass cleaner and we wipe the excess off with it. After that, use the dry towel to buff the window clean and streak free.

We used to not have this problem as much when we all used paper towels because they'd get wet, fall apart, and we'd get a new dry one lol.

The lint from the microfiber is maddening. So much drag. I’ve ordered some Dry Me A River waffle-weave towels from the rag company. Supposed to be best for glass? I guess we’ll see.

agreed, the lint from a towel on a dry window is awful. This is the only place I use an old bath towel. I know they scratch paint but the glass can handle it.

These have also been perfect for me: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KAJ42GO...n_title_3&th=1

They don't leave a single fiber of lint. They're overpriced but they do work.
