Why did you start a new thread?
People were answering you. Best answer: get a b58. |

Did you look through the B48 engine modification thread on the forum at all? What are most people running for power? Typically you're not going to have much to gain outside of the OTS maps until you go big turbo/meth injection/port injection/etc. So my honest suggestion that should really answer your question is... stick with bolt-ons and an OTS tune. If you want more than that and have to ask this same question multiple times, you haven't done nearly enough research to go past the bolt-on level. If you're serious about making more power than OTS/bolt-ons give you, it's time you start doing serious research, call up tuning shops who work on and tune B48s, and start making connections with others who have gone past the bolt-ons stage with the B48. Asking the group is going to get you the same answers you got on the last thread (which i also answered you in).
Big power on a small engine means big money and big knowledge...

Sorry, but this is just dumb. If making big power is your goal, you bought the wrong car. Sell it, buy something else and save yourself a ton of money and headaches. You can dump $5k into that car and still not have more power than just buying something else. If you can’t afford an M3/M4, buy a B58. A simple downpipe, tune, and some E85 and you’ll have 5x the car you have now and still be very reliable.

Would be good if you could confirm Einstein's definition of insanity: "Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result" |

We’ve gotten a stock b48 low compression to reliably hold ~475 whp for a couple months BUT OP apparently doesn’t know how a turbo car and/or what is involved when pushing limits for boost/timing/oil pressure/etc to keep it alive when reducing safety margins.
Doesn’t cost a lot to get there, but since OP has no idea how this works, it’s best to stick to off the shelf “stage 1 stage 2” maps or buy another car

There's a whole B48 section here:
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=422 start a third thread there and get the same answers. |

It won't.... this is the exact response i've given 3+ times to him in 2 threads as well as a ton of other people. He's dead set on MAX power possible on a B48.

Looks like you are trying to make it a G80 M3, you need to redo all the suspension, engine and drivetrain. You'll need the water injection like the M2 competition for maximum power.
Happy OP? We've turned it around to "you need an actual M car again!" Patiently waiting for thread #3 to open..... |
