Timing belt on my x1
Hi
I have a 2020 X1, xDrive 25e (a phev) My car has run wrong 50000 km up to day. I wonder if and when should I change a time belt on my car Thanks🙂 |

unless an indy shop and/or dealership says you need a new one, you should be able to go over 100k with ease without needing to replace one.

Concur. 5K mile oil changes and keep the oil topped up and should be good for a long while. Also, it has a chain instead of a belt. Most of their timing chain and guide woes have been solved on these motors, so they don't self destruct like they did on the early N20 or Prince (Mini) engines (ask me how I know about that one...)
