If BMWFS told you that and not your dealer then it would be true, generally BMWFS doesn't address issues like that until the deal is done. If your dealer told you it then it may be true although we haven't heard that one before. It likely is due to the length of time since your order. Before this shortage situation your lock would have expired and you would have had to pay the higher MF. BMWFS has extended locks but I don't think we have heard what the details of that extension is. It could be that any change to the order drops the lock, that it has been so long that your lock has dropped anyway or your dealer is trying to get extra money from you.

Bmwfs said the mf rate is lock and because i add option so it will change which means my rate is lock. Why they change the rate cuz i change option? I have the right to change the option before it into production? Right?

You can ask, but I doubt they will do anything. If you don't buy it, someone else will - That's how they are going to view it.

You only have two choices since you have a terrible dealership and a terrible broker:

1 - take the vehicle and pay what they are asking

2 - walk away from the deal and consider it a learning experience

A broker cannot negotiate with BMW FS.

A rate lock is good for 120 days. If you decide to change your order, and it gets pushed back beyond 120 days - the rate lock goes away.

His dealer screwed him up to begin with since they sold his original allocation to someone else and then gave him a new one. Due to that he is coming up on 6 months since he locked so his lock expired even before he made the change.
