330d Pre Lci D1S bulb replacing access

Quick question when replacing a D1S headlight bulb (dipped beam) in a pre lci 330d can it be done from the engine bay or does the wheel arch liner have to be removed or is the hatch in the liner enough to give access?

For hassle free fitment liner has to be removed. I tried at first via the hatch but was unable to get to the second tab to remove the cover.
