Soon to be new X1 owner
Greetings from another soon to be X1 owner
Since my family is soon to be expanding somewhat with my step daughter moving in with us full time, it suddenly dawned on me about a week ago that having a pair of E92 335i xDrives in the garage (one's mine, the other belongs to the Mrs) wasn't necessarily particularly family friendly.....we have the right number of doors, unfortunately they're spread between two cars. Started looking for something that would add the extra doors we need, a bit more space, but not too much weight and definitely no appreciable loss in performance. I didn't want another 3 series as the bloody things are EVERYWHERE! Saw the pics of 'Endless Details' X1 and was hooked. Big shoutout to 'Endless Details' (Tim) for all his helpful info that should see me running on my E92 KW coilovers and new wheels when spring rolls around. Took a 35i out for a test drive, worked the numbers, and signed on the dotted line today for a 2013 X1 35i. Le Mans Blue, M-Sport pkg, Black Nevada Lthr, Prem pkg, Exec Pkg, Nav and Com Pkg, rear view cam, H/K audio. Wasn't fussed about the H/K audio, but they had an exact match to my wish list inventory wise that also had the H/K.....managed to work a decent deal so I didn't mind. Pick it up on Tuesday evening! Looking forward to the change and the challenge of adding my own slant to the X1. |

Well, had it a couple of days now. First impressions are good. I actually think I prefer it to the 335, maybe because it's a new thing, maybe because it's less common......I'm not really sure why, but it's keeping me happy anyway
Got the winter wheels/tires on last night. Nabbed them off my 335 before I traded in, so the tire size (235/40/18) is a little short, but nothing too drastic. I wasn't giving away my wheels/tires that only had about 1000km on them that's for sure! 18"x8.5" +34 offset HRE P40 reps with 15mm spacers thrown on the back for good measure (again, off the 335). Nokian Hakkapelitta R winters. Goin for 3M tomorrow so gave it a quick wash.....roads are dry (ish) so it should stay at least relatively clean until the next snow/melt session at the weekend. Obligatory pics, even if they are ridiculously crap phone pics in a car wash setting |

Nice, love the LMB color. Seen one in person and thus far I've not seen anyone able to capture it's true colors on camera. Would've been my color choice as well if I took an Msport, which I decided against as I didn't want to risk not getting the paddle shifters.
I'm picking up my AW sportline x28 today after a 6+ week wait woohoo |

new here and new to owning a BMW. Wanted one for many years and finally made teh decision to get one. I live in long beach ny and our home, cars and motorcycles were annihilated by teh hurricane. Really feels like we are starting over. so during this rebuilding process i decided to add some normalcy and get a new car. so got the jet black x1 drive pretty loaded up. love the car (have only had for 1 week). after all the crap i have had to deal with lately this was a GREAT welcomed event in my life. so yesterday i go out to the car and get the orange engine light with minimal power. not so stoked. used the SOS feature and while on call the light went away. got out of car and went into my house and noticed a nice hit the car took from someone else on front left fender. car was parked overnight and someone must have hit me and just take off. argh. got some touchup paint from bmw and plan on fixing myself. so, even with all this crap going on, really love the car.

Managed to keep a fair amount of restraint of the holidays by not purchasing car parts. Actually just one......an ER charge pipe. Have been told my new summer wheels have landed in Vancouver and that the KW V1's should be soon on their way.
Now if only we weren't in the thick of winter here I'd be excited to get working on the thing In the mean time, I'm going to talk to Cobb to see how soon/likely the N55 Accessport compatibility will be sorted for the X1. I'm also going to keep on digging to see what can be done with exhaust setups, even if it has to be a mix and match of 1er and 3er pieces. |

Congrats! Having yet to have seen LMB in person, is there really a slight purple-ish hue to it in the light? Some pix, from various people, seem to show one but I'm not sure if it is just an artifact from how the photograph was taken. I have yet to have found a LMB X1 locally to go look at.

We have a Le Mans 128i and there is a purplish hue. Color is gorgeous at night.

Also I emailed Eurocharged and asked specifically about the E84 w/n55 and email I got back this morning said give them two more weeks and should have tune ready. Will be interesting to note any differences if they're both going to be out fairly close to each other.

I am also planning on getting X1 soon. Got few questions:
1. What does included maintenance covers? Besides engine oil changes. 2. What is the basic process of ordering one? How much down, what to sign, etc. Thanks |

I am in Calgary as well, I can see that you ordered some new summer wheels. What are you doing with the M wheels? I might be interested. Thanks |

As for the M wheels, for the moment at least, the plan is for them to stay tucked up in the basement until I move the car on. If I do decide to sell them, I'll let you know The new summers, wheels anyway, are sat at the shop and the KW's left the factory last week, so I'll just pick the stuff up next week when I get a chance. |
