USB Thumbdrive problem

Hello, I am new to the forum, tried to search something similar with my problem and didnt find so I am gonna make a new thread (hope its not a problem)..
So carrrying on with my problem... I had an USB Thumbdrive in the car for like 2 years from witch i played the music, a week ago I inserted another Thumbdrive and it played like 20 seconds from a song and then appeared like there is no Thumbdrive plugged in. I removed that one and plugged in the normal Thumbdrive that i had for 2 years and it does the same, appearing like is not plugged in. I formated the Thumbdrive and put again music on but still doesnt appear like plugged in. Any ideas of what the problem might be?

You don’t say if they are USB2 or USB3 thumb drives.. I’ve had weird issues sometimes with USB3 and switching to a different thumb drive made everything work. Since they are cheap I would obtain yet another one, different brand, and test it. Also, you could try rebooting idrive by holding volume button in for 30 seconds.

Tried rebooting the idrive, the usb thumbdrive still appears not connected even though its plugged in. I already tried 3 different thumbdrives and all appear not connected (all 3 formated fat32, and with various sizes from 8gb to 64gb). I tried plugging an mp3 player in the aux in plug and that works.

Maybe the USB port has gone bad. Have you tried the one in the glovebox?

My only other thought is that there is a USB Hub that has either gone bad, or the socket itself has gone bad. Or, maybe a fuse is blown to the hub. https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...ephone/HFyxvBt
