Question Help w/ Radio Trim

Can someone please explain how to remove this section of radio trim? I know there is a lot of videos on how to accomplish this...but my trim is different. I don't want to damage anything.

Does the whole center console have to be removed first in this case?

Thanks in advance!!! John

You need a long skinny screwdriver to release the bottom tabs. Get low add look at how the tabs operate. Not easy the first time,

Final solution?

What was the final solution for your radio removal?
Mine is exactly like yours and I'm trying to add a rear camera to the already existing CIC NAV Pro system.

CIC factory NAV rear camera android 10 upgrade

have the same issue 2 radio screws r behind lower fashia plate for android install wiring harness, metal double din brick in radio hole is not room in there.

console has it trapped

remove 6 console fasteners 2 tens front each side 1 ten nut under brake cover 1 screw right side cover beside right seat 2 more in very back console cover lift panel up it has hooks on it

console trim around shifter snaps up use your plastic pry tools

shifter handle pulls straight up electric plug on some shifter newer handles that r illuminated

lift console up gently and back 1/2'

put plastic pry tool in radio coverlate on bottom has 2 lower tabs that snap in be gentle then it will pop out carefully

u tube also but no one shows this one, pita but do able nothing broken

radio has 4 screws holding double din in all tangled up use your pick on tabs for antenna stuff

k

Trim removal

I found this youtube video that shows the center console being removed, giving you that extra bit of room you need to slide the screwdriver in. You'll need to pause as the video is quite fast.
