JB+ Mod for E84

Hello, All.

I am coming from a 2014 F30(N26) to my newly owned 2015 E84 X1(N20). I had a question regarding the JB+, not JB4, which I had on my old 328i, purchased from Xtreme Powerhouse.

https://www.x-ph.com/burger-tuning-b...install-tuner/

I have only found that unit on that particular website, and it did wonders for my N26 engine previously. I am under warranty, currently, but just would like to know if this is okay to plug back into my X1 and if anyone has used it. **********s, et al., do not have this JB+ in stock or it doesn't show up for X1 mods. I want to make sure that it will work before I do something entirely stupid.

Loving my X1 so far though! Got a steal on a CPO + 1 year factory warranty for a loaded X1 with 7,500 miles.

Thanks!!

I guess naming Mod sites are not allowed, sorry for that.

From everything I've seen the E84 falls under the F series for tunes and that it should work fine.

I know that the Dinan equivalent of the JB+ works on the N20, N26 and N55.

Best place to get a definitive answer would be on the N54tech forum.

Only for the 2.0l. The N55 in an E-series unit.

So wait, I'm 2.0l. Are you saying it could possibly work? I might shoot an e-mail over to the BMS people.

Yes, it will work perfectly fine. The N20 X series cars are listed in that link you posted.

'14+ N20 X1 is specifically listed, along with your old car.

No worries!

Update for other owners: I put it on at 11:30 tonight after being too curious, quick 1 min drive and, yes, it works on the E84 xDrive28i N20. Will update with thoughts tomorrow on it. May not keep it on there because of factory warranty + CPO, but it was absolutely noticeable. It's definitely something to keep your eye on considering it's $200 price point vs performance.

Thanks, again, for the help and replies here! I had a joy using these forums for my previous beloved F30 328i.

I'd like to transfer the JB+ from my 328i to my wife's 2014 X1. Have you been using the JB+ on your X1? How's it holding up? Any issues?

Honestly it works great on this platform m. Mine arrived yesterday and was immediately installed. Turned the switch up to max and took it for a quick drive. Paired great with the downpipe. I'm glad someone checked into it already
