DIY X1 Car Repair Manual

Hi everyone. Fairly new to the schene. I have a 2015 X1 xDrive28i.

Is there a BMW or after market repair or shop guide/manual, like Chilton's for the DIYer?

Here's an old thread and haven't found anything else. Thanks.

Newtis.info is an online version of the repair manual for all bmw cars to date. I personally use ISTA-D which is the diagnostic software for bmw shops along with a obd2 to usb cable. The cable is not necessary if you don’t need diagnostic.

Thanks d1saster.

Do you know if ISTA-D works with this cable. I have one of these but haven't used it. Thanks.

If that cable is compatible with your car then it will work with the software. What year car did you use that cable for?

I am also in the market for a good manual for these cars. I am thinking this:

Since E84 is based on E90 and E82 they share a lot but are different as well. The Pre LCI E90 manual may cover the suspension and engine if it’s N55 but all body and trim parts are different.

The one thing you have going for you is a big forum selection with many, many DIYs. For the majority of repairs/modifications, you'll find instructions in the E90 forums.
