Maybe to the contrary. They may be moving cars because of discounts. I know that this is not the discount level prepandemic, but there is competition and incentives are important.

I think used car prices and lower end new car prices are so high that more people are looking at newer luxury cars since the price gap is a lot smaller than it used to be. |

Go G01!
BMW brand passenger vehicles YTD 2021 exceeded M-B brand passenger vehicles YTD 2021. Congrats to BMW. Above statement excludes Mini brand from BMW and Vans (Sprinter) from M-B. |

#1: As stated, you're late, Q2 sales were already posted on the front page in July. BMW NA Reports Q2 Sales Figures https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1838501
#2: Of course Q2 '21 sales were up for BMW (along with many other brands who reported YTD increases as high as triple digit percents), as Q2 '20 was the beginnings of Covid and national dealer shutdowns. BMW also unlike many other luxury brands, wasn't impacted as negatively by the chip shortage until closer/into Q3 as they had saved/purchased more chips. |
