X1 E84 20d xdrive, R17 on front & R19 on rear?

Hi, I'm planning on changing to non run flat and want to put R17 on front and R19 on rear. They do fall within bmw tyre recommended size. Just wondering is it ok to have 2 inches difference(R17 and R19) in front and rear tyre size? Thanks

With AWD vehicles one wants the overall tyre diameter size to be the same front to back. Otherwise they rotate at different speeds which greatly affects the differential.

If you go with r17 and r19 wheels the front tires will need to have 1" more sidewall than the rear. Which is going to look stupid to say the least.

You can go wider between front and back but not otherwise.

With correct overall tyre diameter it can be done. But I have to agree 17/19 would look just too weird. Probably 18/19 or 19/20 would look ok.
