Battery
Hi
I believe my 2012 X1 Battery is failing. Really slow cranks and sometimes won't even turn. I know that new battery needs to be registered to car. Have BlueDriver code reader and hopefully that can register new battery. Anyone used BlueDriver to do this ? Thanks |

Hi Kevlar74
If you stay with the same Ah battery as your current battery then you can get away with just registration. If you change battery type (AGM or Lead Acid) or Ah (80 or 90) then you will need to change coding in the CAS:KLASS_BATTERIE. I don't know anything about this Bluedrive code reader. I have not change my battery yet but plan to use the NCS Expert tool and in the process on gaining how-to instruction. |

So Picked up OEM battery from BMW $411 tax in CDN
Old battery was only holding 11v New Battery reading over 12v Car running 14v BlueDriver did have battery Registration feature. Just had to update software on it. Car starts instantly |

I swapped the original battery in my 2013 this last September. Went with an Interstate AGM in the factory size. Works perfect.
