Euro Style Plates
Received and fitted Euro Style number plates to my X1 last week
They suit the car so much better than the standard issue plates by filling up the gap on the tailgate and being able to fit on the nose section without any overhang. When you order the plates you need to specify the numbers and letters you want .... the "T" is compulsory. |

Looks good! I'm glad we get options like these with our numberplates down under. Although it kills me when I see a Lexus with euro plates.

Nice and neat plate. My X1 doesn't have any holes on the front bumper. Well, the plates here in China has screws on it. Called the dealer and they will told me that you need to punch holes on it. I'm just wondering (looking at the photos), how did you install yours?

Quite easy to install and did require some drilling at the front. The holes at the rear are already there. |

Over here in Guernsey, we have black plates with silver writing.
This looks rather fab on a black sapphire x-Drive X1. Very co-ordinated You can never have too much black and silver. |

@ danintas: I got custom plates as well but they are held up at the licensing centre and looking at these pictures, i think i made a mistake getting them in pink and in the smallest plate size possible.
i've seen a lot of the slim line ones on beemers here and it actually looks pretty good! btw, did you have to remove the plates and replace them yourself? Also, are the plates screwed into the bumper of the car? |

The braket is very solid and screws onto the front (you need to drill new holes) and back (holes are pre-drilled). The plate then goes on to the bracket followed by the frame. There are some videos on the website. Let me know if you'd like some close up photos. |
