Manual transmission swap for the N55
I've seen a couple posts musing about the possibility, but has anyone actually confirmed which part numbers would be needed, and if it's possible at all?

I would say, don't do it. Not worth the expense. And when you go to sell, nobody wants a Frankencar.

Its always possible to manual swap anything it just comes down to do you have the right skills or a shop that does, and a HUGE budget in most cases it's more expensive than just buying the car you really want.

I would love to see this done, possibly have a thread about switching to a manual gearbox for daily driving! Everything is basically bolt on, I would personally do it myself if living expenses never existed.

X1s in Europa are available in manual, I'm not sure which engines. So if you gather all the parts, it should be a bolt in swap. There will be coding involved, wiring etc.
