10.25" Android Screen Navigation| Anyone try this? |

Hi guys! Purchased one of those 10.25 inch screens. Has anyone successfully installed this on a '13+ X1?
I can't find a good installation guide.

^ this one really doesn't show much, plus the car has different center console pieces.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I have the latest snapdragon black rimmed avin system installed with wireless carplay. Just replaced my 4.4.4 unit.

What do you need to know.

First remove the vents, pry with plastic trim tool at the vents and work to the right. Its just clipped in. Careful of the hazard plug, remove by pulling gently at plug base not by wires.

Next step is to remove screen. there are 2 main bolts that hold the unit in.

The next steps depend on what radio system is in there. I have x line. my radio panel pops off, then I can remove the upper ac panel.

Once those are removed There are 2 screws for the radio. Maybe 4, don't recall. Radio then slides out. unclup the connector, move the green optical cables if you have them.

Harness plugs in between, be sure to lock in slowly. Again depending on your system and the harness.

Do you have the additional speaker?

If you have the in dash 6 disc changer: you’re in for a fun time.

Just installed the latest model in mine.

Works great once you get it all setup. A few quirks with the Android side, but I got it for CarPlay + reverse camera.

The lens by the rear view mirror is for automatic high beams

Love it, I have a NAV system and I'm looking for something to add on so I can use CarPlay.
