Rear Footwell Damp

I was giving the car a really good internal clean this weekend and found signs of water ingress on the rear footwell. It looks to be right in the corner of the inner sill, where it takes a 90 Deg bend, under the seat bench.

The car has a sunroof also, but I believe the drains enter the boot area, so it runs down the channels.

I could be wrong

Any sill drains etc. that I can check for blockages or is there a known issue that needs to be rectified?

TIA

I don’t know if the X1 is similarly put together, but when this has occurred with other cars I’ve owned, it was an A/C condensation tube up under the dashboard - it had pulled up through the floor. The water would pool in the rear, at the low point within the cabin. Any signs of dampness up front?

Ever have your windshield replaced? I had this problem, and after putting some silicone on underside of windshield, it went away.

Hi guys

Its the rear and it appears to be running down the way from the trim on the sill, as you open the door (if that makes sense)

It's the vapor barrier. Plenty of you tube vids on how to fix. You should peel the carpet back and REALLY dry it out before it becomes mildewed.

Cool, I gather its door cards off etc.?

I have a used approved BMW warranty, so I have noted it with them as its in for a MOT and fluid service this week. So I will keep at them.
