Ticking noce from engine 2014 X1
Hi,
I have a ticketing noice on my BMW x1, 2014 (diesel -18d). Should I be worried or is it the same? I just bought the car as a used car yesterday. Should I return it? |

Hmm... My car broke down on the motorway and it was the timing chain. It is in repair at the showroom.
Do you think my engine is damaged? A quick search on the internet revealed that I the engine is damaged if it is an interface engine. amy idea how would I know? |

Likely engine damage due to broken chain guide pieces ingested into your engine. Keep us updated on the progress. Hopefully BMW will work something out?

You did not mentioned you mileage, however, it is out of warranty.
Sound like the timing chain. Since you are worried and already with weird noises, I would return the vehicle. Easier. |
