2015 Black BMW X1 -Wheel and Caliper Powder Coating
All,
Need some help with the community. Here's my current scenario: ->Black wheel glossy paint which is starting to chirp/deteriorate ->1 Wheel Rear is warp and Bent ->Can't proceed with tire rotaion as the vibration issue will come back once I do tire rotation Plan: ->Powder Coating all 4 wheels , calipers and include wheel repair for bent/warp ->Total Cost: $370 Wheel Powder Coating $550 Caliper total $920 including mount/dismount,balancing wheels and disassemble/assemble caliper with brake bleeding lead time 2 days car drop off ->50$-80$ per wheel for bent/warp repair note: Inspection will be done to ensure if only 1 or other wheel needs repair Supplier: https://www.facebook.com/CPCPOWDERCOATING/ Location: Crest Hill Illinois Concern: ->Caliper Powder Coating (panning neon gree,red ,or orange need suggestions) ->Brake Fluis contamination with the caliper powdered coated already?will it be affected ->Car still with warranty and maintenance plan with rear brake disc and pad due for replacement,front rotor and brake pad was just replace recently ->Is the 920$ plus repair worth it? ->Dealer Warranty Voided? ->Anyone from Chicago have tried CPC? I think the calipers are a waste of money. They aren’t very good looking. I painted mine with high temp silver so it just looks clean. $8 per spray can and I bought two. I would not repair those wheels either... if I own your car I put those $1000 into some nicer wheels. However if you like your wheels I think it’s a great deal money-wise.
