I am not sure if the pricing is different enough from the X3. I would imagine that the standard equipment level will be lower for the X1, which will reduce the gap even further.
What's more interesting is that this car is E90 based whereas the X3 is related to the F30. While I'm not really sold on the F30 for a couple of reasons, I would think that the kind of improvements that BMW made with the new generation of vehicles (ride, NVH, gadgets) really makes sense for cross-overs, more so than for the quintessential sports sedan. |

Very interesting in doing ED delivery. Would love the opportunity to go to Europe again. Can you guys let me know if I can do ED on this vehicle.
We saw them in Europe and I was impressed as hell with it. I also realized how much I liked it. The pics do not do it justice. Quote:

I fully intend on getting one, tuning it, putting meth on it, and the small chance any bolt on parts are made putting those on too. 400awhp here I come. This thing is gonna be fun to drive!

Not long ago you could order an X5 with a manual. I can almost excuse the lack of that option but then the new X3 and now not even the X1 especially after making us wait so long? UDM but I don't have the option to shift it myself with clutch and lever? Seriously losing faith in the brand and they my future cash. MT market may be more of a niche than ever but shame on them for depriving us the ability to order it that way.

Looks pretty cool , good for new England region, good in gas , can battle potholes and snow and what not.... As for price if you think it's too much don't buy it ... It's not a rav4 lol.... BMW is a luxury car brand and isn't competing with low end cars.... It is a pretty attractive price I thought... Color seems different for BMW if that's a def option , and for an M model is expect one with the same time frame but def no stick prob that sport drive mode n some paddles

I still can't believe this car even exists. It's almost as ugly as the new 1-series and it's continuing the trend of BMW trying to make car names with as many syllables as possible.

Well we have a software reflash that requires the ecu to be removed due to the tuner protection bmw has in place. We have a n55 down-pipe available but im not so sure it will fit on the x1 just yet.

![]() With emphasis. All around. And for those who have no real idea of what this model is (as their impressions can at this point be only guesses and projections) ... after a recent visit to Munich and seeing this on display, seeing its presence everywhere on streets and highways, and in riding in it, I can verify that it is a quite a good product and very attractive as a usable, desirable vehicle. Beauty is with each beholder, but beyond that this X1 is excellent and somewhat unique in the market. As a daily urban driver with several M's I am seriously interested as a potential owner. |
