Official: US Gets BMW X1 - sDrive28i and xDrive35i Start at $31,545 and $39,345

The price looks pretty cheap indeed, but who says they didn't make the options pretty expensive like they did with the F30?

The refresh for the X1 is in principle a simple refreshening.
The car is still Europes no 1. Best selling SUV so there are no major overhauls to the overall look , this is also in BMW's terms a very short face lift since the car was introduced in 2009 , we are now at three years on instead of the proverbial four years. It was all a matter of refreshing the car for the US Market so that the negativity of some aspects of the X1 were not experienced by US customers.

The 7er is very,very soon.

Pricing is most surprising, $31K for a 28i, that's a steal. It is alot more car than a 1 coupe for a small fun to drive, economical commuter car with utility perspective, for similar money. Styling aside, as that is subjective, I think it is a very viable alternative to a 3 series wagon, which, given the pricing of the F30 328i, is likely to be thousands more. Fit and finish have been noted to not be as good on the early models, perhaps the LCI models feel a little more premium, just like the old X3 LCI did.

I saw one of these in non-LCI form at the BMW Welt last year and it wasn't too bad in the metal - much better than the photos. Hopefully the 28i will come with standard features that are given on Korean cars these days, such as bluetooth and USB port. It really should come with leather instead of BMW's sweaty vinyl at this price, since people will cross-shop this with all of the other similarly-sized cute-utes out there (even though this one will blow them away). My wife is a candidate, but frankly she doesn't really care how fast it goes 0-60 if she doesn't like the cupholders.

I see some of the most positive words written about most cars but you know what? thats cool because we all have our opinions and different taste in automobiles. You can take this atrocity and put it in the fail room right next to the 5 GT series and just leave them their so you remember what not to make again.

Prices- at least on the 28s seem pretty damn reasonable actually considering a 128 is now 32,095 with dest- 10 more horses and a butt load more torque. I guess that manual I wanted isn't happening and diesel, hi? Still this will be my first sampling of the N20 as the 3 is not making the price cap and we haven't even been offered awds yet...

The post powerful model we get here in the UK is the 23d, although I think the 28i is being added.
