Safe to say that Bmw is on a tear recently. This car has the potential to match the success that the 3 series has had here in the U.S.

How does one best signal to BMW that we would be interested in the 6MT. I know it was said in the presentation that the manual transmission would come given demand. If that's the case, I'll be buying an X1 with 6mt/N55 in 2 years.

I'm totally confused on the xline package. If you look at the pictures of the orange x28 at the beginning of the thread it has sport seats. The only way to get sport seats is the M sport package but the orange X28 does not have the M Sport so how does it have sport seats?

Just did the math for Euro Delivery

Sdrive28i with MSport package ONLY.

Including destination/handling of $875 and assuming $500 above Euro invoice price, is a only $31,595. Great price to get into a very capable and roomy BMW that looks decent to boot.

We paid almost 30k for our Jetta TDI, and while it is great, I would not have hestitated to do an X1 28i instead for just a bit more (though the wife may not have been in), while taking a nice vacation in Europe. It would be even better if they announce a diesel X1 for US (as is rumored) although it willl surely cost more than a 28i.

I am so tempted to pick one of these up as a third car though. I bet this thing is going to be a hell of a lot of fun to drive.
