Problems with xDrive

Earlier today I parked my 2013 X1 35i with 64k miles in a grassy area and ended up getting slightly stuck. When trying to get unstuck I had a DSC and xDrive malfunction. I then turned off the car and came back a couple hours later. When back I turned the car on and there was not warning lights or messages on the Idrive.

But when driving I noticed the transmission shifts were more rough then normal and at times there would be a light shudder when shifting at lower speeds.

Is this an issue with the transfer case or transmission? What are the possible causes of this issue?

Thank you!

Have you pulled the code?
Can you manually turn DSC and TCS on/off?

I will pull the codes tomorrow and post the update. I am able to turn DSC and TCS manually.

How old are tires, and did they still retain some mud for awhile which would set off traction systems again? I don't see how you could hurt car transmission unless furiously spinning wheels to get out. After normal driving on roads for a few days won't computer reset how it controls shifting?

I cleaned off the tires of all mud. I did a pedal reset to see if that would help and it did not change anything. The issues seems to happen intermediately.

I attempted to pull codes, but there was nothing stored... pretty confused.

What did you use to pull codes with? A regular OBDII code reader probably won't work. You'll need something like Carly to get BMW specific codes.

I went to a local BMW shop in my area and they are the ones who told me there were not stored codes in the computer.

Once or twic a year, i will get 4x4, DSC, xDrive malfunction and limp mode, usually with pressing throttle but otherwise not doing anything untoward. No codes and restart of the car, everything is back to normal. Kind of puzzling.

Only once did i get an "invalid torque value".

Definitely in the same boat as you hahaha I guess everything is okay at the moment. The car seems to be running fine, so I will probably just change the transfer case fluid and keep an eye on everything for now.
