To some he's looked at as a modern day Carroll Shelby. But I agree with the previous statement that it was only to make the Americans happy, and I wish it would have been Elon there instead.

I think that would be cool, would have preferred Marc Tarpenning or Eberhard who actually did the engineering work on the first Teslas.

I was actually really bored by this interview. What a bunch of shit questions. I would of rather heard about what they think of the latest technologies each of their competitors' companies (except John as we all have noted) and what it's impact will be.

Freevalve, Electric motors and new battery technology all have their place. Instead all they could do was talk about the environment due to the questions asked.

I agree, but it's just like listening to a band, only the musicians in the crowd know the names of the musicians on stage, everyone else just thinks Michael Jackson did it all.

I would have preferred to hear from a Tesla engineer but come on, even Elon is 9000x better than con-artist John Hennessey. Even if he wasn't scamming customers in the early 2000s, his company just modifies other cars. Including him with Koenigsegg, Murray, and Rimac is insulting to the other 3 given their career achievements. At least he didn't make it about himself.

Fair points. But Musk doesn’t belong IMO. Those other three make bespoke masterpieces. Tesla are disposable batteries.
