First Month Updates

So in this first month of my X1 ownership I've fitted some 20" style 149's, tinted the windows and added a jb4. I'd like to do a transmission flash to alleviate the ambiguity I feel with shifting and I'll be a very happy camper. Really enjoying the vehicle.

Looks good! What size tires did you go with?

Wheels are 20 x 9 and 20 x 10 with +24 offset. Important to give those specs before tire information, because that's very aggressive. My tires sizes are 245/40 and 275/35. The fronts are slightly rubbing against the front wheel well plastic cover on hard left steering wheel position. So I need to decide if I'm going with 245/35, 235/40 or 235/35 for the fronts.

XHP transmission flash is well worth it. Just skip straight to stage 3 and enjoy.

Thanks!
Yeah those wheel specs are pretty aggressive. I'd like to run meatier tires for a similar look on my car but I'm lowered on coilovers. If I went back to stock I'd probably buy wheels & tires that match your specs!

Tried xHP, but couldn't get the back up to work so I guess my cable is cheap. Now I need to motivate myself to buy an expensive cable.

A nice cable is worth it. Get some remote coding done with it while you're at it, or get the adapter and use carly. I love Carly for coding simple factory options and checking codes

I have the same color, beautiful car! Not sure how I feel about the 20's but I like the look of a larger wheel/tire to fill the gap rather than lowering it and losing ground clearance. What are you planning to do next?

Thanks man. I usually go lower and 19's, but I still think the gap would have been too much and I wanted my X1 to be my refuge from the paranoid pot hole spotting I've dealt with over the last decade plus of lowering every vehicle I purchased. So I went with the 20's. Vehicle is less nimble than with the factory 19's, but it's negligible.

As for next steps, most of my time and energy has been spent on getting my e90 refreshed and maintained and I'm mostly satisfied with the X1 as is. I do have a wish list though.

My wish list:
Add amp/sub combo
Add execuhitch
Would like dual exhaust(not true dual, but still a pipe dream)
Retrofit Comfort Access
Cone Intake
Upgraded intercooler

I looked into what it would take to do dual exhaust tips and just determined it wasn't worth it.
