Yes which is what I was thinking regarding the projector lenses. Do you think if I was to put leds in the projector lenses would I still need the ones with cooling fans etc? Thanks Daniel

I'm not an expert on LED's, but the cooling fans aren't so much a function of the housing the bulb is being installed in, moreso the design of the LED bulb itself- but I believe most LED headlight bulbs need some sort of fan or heatsink to dissipate the heat they produce. I'd look into some of the more reputable brands of LED bulbs, I believe there's a thread somewhere here regarding swapping stock halogens to LED's and there are some recommendations there.

I’ve hit a snag in installing my xenons...I received all the led modules, and got to coding in the angel eyes for DRL’s...the stock halogen angel eyes aren’t working. No faults, no blown fuses, nothing...I’m stumped.

That’s what I anticipated, but they’re not lighting up at all after programming DRL’s to angel eyes. I tried different brightnessea, nothing. No errors, fuses are fine, I checked for fault codes in Carly, nothing...

I had to set DRL to "Only additional lights (US Models)"

US vehicles does not have DRL on by default, or that was what I was told.
There's a menu somewhere to turn it on.
I could be completely wrong though.

I know spoolinX1 also got it working earlier in this thread.
Does the small bulbs ever come on if you play with the light switch?

To add to the confusion, I noticed when I unlock my car the parking light and “angel eye” (tiny bulb) come on, so I quickly plugged in one of the xenon headlamps and lo and behold:

If your car is on and the light switch is in the off position, what is on in your headlight?

Ill have to check in the morning, but I believe just my DRL’s- high beam at low voltage. I believe the parking lights were also on for DRL but I coded them out.

OK, so now I'm ready to give up. It seems like the tiny bulbs are coded as the "corner LED's". I think this because under the coding, my corner LED's are ON for welcome lights. Further, I coded corner LED's to ON for low and high beam, and sure enough, those little bulbs light up when I turn on my headlights on both low and high beam.

Unfortunately, there's no way that I see to code the corner LED's as the DRL's. I'm really at a loss now...

Is your DRL still on highbeam after coding it to angel eyes?

No- I code them off as I have to code in the "customization- other lights" (I forget the exact phrasing). So when I do that, code on angel eyes for DRL, I get no lights (or turn signal, if I have that coded to on for DRL).

The only coding change I made excluding voltage monitor is DRL:
"Only additional lights (US Models)" and when I sold my car without the lights I changed that one value back to highbeam as it was before, nothing else.
