Were the BC's from a E9X or custom made? ETA or release or price?

The car really did handle pretty good for what it is, I was trying pretty hard to hang with the old silver Porsche in front of me, but he kept inching away down the straights!

I do have a JB4. I should have mentioned that in map 1 the car would maintain higher boost levels for the entire 25 minute session, but in map 2 it would shut down to OEM power after about 15 minutes (Oil temp was getting too hot). I'm on 93 octance and it was roughly 65-80 degrees F at the track that weekend.
I assume your fenders are aggressively rolled for that fitment? Can you go into detail about how you rolled the front with the plastic lip?

They are X1 application. I work for PSI (precision-sport.com) and I'm testing the X1 kit for them right now. We work closely with BC (they're just down the street from us) and we should have the kit sorted and ready to go soon enough. There is a front swaybar clearance issue on my sDrive, which will be solved by including adjustable front endlinks. Pricing will be $995 shipped, including front camber plates. I have 7k/11k springs on it right now with appropriately valved shocks/struts and they feel great on the road and do fine on track as well, so we'll probably default these rates, with other rates available as a no-charge option.

I did not roll them at all. I had the car set pretty low with my street wheels on (19x8.5 et16 245/35/19 and 19x9.5 et24 275/35/19) and they rubbed until they had self clearanced the fenders a bit lol. I raised the car up for the track wheel/tire setup and they didn't rub at all. I'll post a picture of it on track at full compression when I get home and you'll be able to see the clearance.

Damn, so not only may I not need a fender roll for my 265 tires, but I probably could have gone for the ET20 wheels and skipped using a spacer......seems like the X1 has insane fender clearance compared to the e9x series. I can still return two of my wheels..I wonder if it's worth it to go with et20 instead of et35 on the front.

Not the best photo to see the wheels, but you can see how far the front sticks out.

The clearance isn't necessarily a lot more, the body just sits higher than an e9x. Remember I have quite a bit of negative camber as well...

This is the height I set it at for daily driving, and it rubbed until it cleared itself.

Thanks, your car looks fantastic. Regarding height compared to e9x - you're definitely right, but also if it doesn't rub lock to lock it seems like we have more clearance in front of the wheels as well. I love that aggressive look you have and think it's a huge upgrade from the stock wheels on this car - the huge wheel wells filled with tiny wheels and tires is part of what makes the stock car look awkward in my opinion.

Thank you! With the 285s up front the tire was touching the fender liner a bit, but not enough to rub a hole in it even after two full track days.

When is the new prototype turbo going to be made?

BTW, thanks for updating the thread for everybody and answering questions on your wheel/tire/suspension settings... Gives me an idea on what to run wheel/tire wise on my H&R lowered X1

Haha no turbo upgrades for me anytime soon. The X1 is my daily.. I wasn't supposed to mod it at all, but we all know how that goes.

No problem, I learn a lot on the forums and try to help whenever I can.

Here's a shot from last weekend lifting passenger side and at full compression on the driver's side. The car was set high enough so that it would compress and not touch the fender

Does PSI have anything in the works for an upgraded turbo?

I would be interested

Cant believe the size of the tyres but seeing is believing.
Puts all sorts of thoughts in my mind with your fantastic daily drive look.
With my Sdrive might have to get a wider set of wheels for the back and drop it down a bit.
More saving and wife manipulating.

And this is with stock swaybars? Keep us posted when BC's are released.

It would be nice to have a local company doing N20 mods other than piggyback.

The front swaybar is identical to that of a 335xi, so one made for that will swap.

The rear is a different part number but looks very similar. I can't confirm it will swap yet but have a hunch it will.

Thanks! I had the track wheels and tires sitting around, and after fitting them I almost think I could go a little wider...

Will do! I recently installed a downpipe on a 328 for a customer, and I'm not sure I like the loud turbo noises enough to put one on my x1 lol.

From what I can tell the rear suspension is extremely similar to the e90. If I can find a cheap enough used e90 m3 rear bar I'm going to try and install it. I don't think the car needs a larger front bar at all...

I'm searching for a used m3 rear bar... If I can't find one I may end up getting a Whiteline e90 bar and seeing if it will work.

I don't think we'll be upgrading n20 turbos. There have been a few engines that have failed with the stock turbo already. I'm not sure the n20 is going to hold up too well past ~300whp.

Any chance you could let us know what the difference is between an E90 kit and the E84 kit? Are the dimensions of the damper the same and it is just a different spring length or is the body/shaft of the damper longer? I am wanting to do something on my new X1 but really do not want to lower the car too much and make it look slammed. I have been spoiled for the last 5-6 years with AST dampers and I am afraid some of these off the shelf kits are not going to cut it. Higher grade springs from Swift with thrust sheets will be a priority. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
