thanks and yes agree the rear corner shot really shows the wheels deep concave and of course the X1 looks pretty good from that angel as well

thanks The ride is really good, compared to the original 18" i didn't notice any change in comfort, but less road noise and way better responsiveness, maybe because i didnt went with runflat tires

Late Inquiry
HI Tossi,
They look and sit nice on your X1. Could you tell me. 1) Your original set up. eg. Rim Size, Width, Offsets/ET's. 2) Your 8,5x19 and 9,5x19 Offsets/ET's. 3) Your 19'' Tyre Sizes, Front and Rear. Love the 23d Thanks. |

Sure thing, will try my best
1) My original set up was factory wheels not 100% sure about the whidth but they are 18" ET35 with 225/45 in the front and 255/40 in the rear, they are currently my winterrims, so can check once i take them off. 2) The "new" wheels are ET35 both in frotn and rear 3) Tyre Sizes, Front and Rear 225/40/19" and 255/35/19 Hope this helps

There's lot of space below the arches, so you can safely go 10/15mm more (F/R) on the outside. Some here are running with even more agressive offset, like 20 to 25mm but it might not be street legal in some countries (or can cause rubbing issues). Cheers

My Original Set Up was 17x7.5 ET34 c/w 225/50/17's. Because I wanted Max. Profile my best fitment for the Wheels I liked was. 18x8.5 ET35 Front c/w 235/45/18, 14mm Less I/Side - 12mm More O/Side 18x9.5 ET33 Rear c/w 265/40/18, 24mm Less I/Side - 26mm More O/Side I was told these would fit even with a slight lowering. Not totally convinced though. My 1'st upgrade was 18x7.5 ET35 SQ. Set Up. Also considering getting 2x 18x9's for the rear. Waiting on pricing from USA before Decision Time. |

Yes, indeed, my mistake. I've edited my post

Compared to the 8x18ET30 stock, the 8.5x18ET35 will be 1mm more on the oustide, which is fine, but will be 11mm more on the inside which might be an issue to clear the suspension strut. From what I saw on the web, using 5 to 10mm spacer with those should not be a problem. Compared to the 9x18ET41, the 9.5x18ET33 will 13mm more on the ouside, and again, from what I saw on the web, there should be no issue, even when lowering the car. Anyway, I'll perform some tests, when I get my car, with the stock 8x18ET30 and 9x18ET41 wheels and several spacers. Since I will lower the car and as it is not allowed in Switzerland to have any rubbing issues, I'll post the results confirming what works or not. Then I'll decide for aftermarket wheels. Cheers
