Muffler delete
In case anyone was on the fence about an exhaust, or something to make their X1 sound better. I recommend a muffler delete. Kept the factory dual tipped exhaust and nixed the muffler. The single best, inexpensive mod that you can do. (Completely in my own opinion of course) and it only took an hour to get done. No drone, no codes, just a nice throaty exhaust note, and an even better idle.

Do you have a video or sound clip without the muffler?

I don't really see it affecting anything really, but if I come across anything I'll be sure to post it here . So far it feels like it runs the same.

In my opinion, the absolute worst thing about my X1 is that big can hanging down in the back end. Not sure this is the solution for me - not looking for more sound. I commend your effort, though.

It's honestly not too loud, it really just sounds like a performance exhaust. It's only "loud" when you get on it pretty good. Whenever you're cruising it's pretty quiet. You can always cut out the oem muffler, and weld on one that's minimal in size and has a baffle.
