Nope. This is only for the old 6 speed.

I will have my car in the shop for a brake fluid change next week, and while they've got it I want them to check for a DME software update and install it if one exisits. Would this remove my Alpina transmission flash? I assume no, because we are talking engine vs. transmission, but your input would be appreciated!! Thanks

UPDATE: Took car into dealer today, they said that the Alpina transmission flash would indeed be removed if a DME update was performed.

These are exactly what I'd like to code on my 2015 X1 xDrive28i... What device did you use and is it easy enough for a noob?

Thanks

Anyone with a cable and BMW standard tools/WinKFP up and running can do this. I followed these instructions when flashing mine:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=873746

It's very doable. I had just figured out how to code (thanks improvius)...so I was intimidated by the whole process, but it went pretty smoothly.

Here are some of the maps available for flashing to your 6 speed autos...

I used the '537 and I really, really love it.

The car drives SO much better, in any mode. Really, really impressed with it.

If you're thinking about it, don't hesitate. If you're local to Philly, I can do it for you too.

It's factory BMW software no warranty concerns at all.

I know this is an alpina flash thread, but since this thread started, xHP has released a transmission flash for our cars. If you haven't looked into that option, it's defintaley worth it.
