Wheel tire size 2014 X1 2.8 S Drive M Sport
In the ordering guide I read that the wheels tires on my 2014 X1 2.8 S Drive with M Sport should be 355 M design 18x8 w/225 width in front and 18x9 w245 width in rear.
Upon delivery I did not receive the the larger wheels and tires, the rear appear to be the same as the fronts. I wonder what gives?? Please comment especially if you know the answer or have the same year and optioned X1. Thanks |

I'm guessing you got the all-season tires? If I'm not mistaken, you can only get the staggered setup with the summer tires. Opt for the all-seasons and you get a square setup. Initially M Sports were only available with staggered summer tires.

Mine is an early 2013 and there was no option at the time other than staggered with summer performance tires. I think they added that option around the first of the year and the website shows the options now.

Staggered setup
In the ordering guide both the "all season" and "performance" tires are listed as staggered 18x8 w/225 at front and 18x9 w/255 at rear. I will work it out with BMW. Hopefully it will be painless.

Sadly, the accuracy of the ordering guide and other printed information cannot be trusted to be 100% accurate. Those of us M Sport owners without paddle shifters can attest to that. I believe there was conflicting information about standard iDrive and power seats in the past, too. Hopefully it will work out for you. Good luck.
