Regular maintenance schedule

I'm a first-time Bimmer owner of a CPO 2015 X1. Eight thousand miles in, I've been loving every bit of my car.

Is there a resource or thread about recommended maintenance items and expected costs available here? I did several searches on this forum and can't seem to find a one-sheet for this information.

Thanks in advance!

I have the 14 X1 s28i. The electronic display has the recommended service intervals in it either through the stalk or the idrive if you have.

Change engine oil and filter by at least 12k miles since last one., and use good synthetic oil recommended by BMW. I use Mobil 1 0w40 that was recommended once, and run up to 12k miles.

I only have 28k miles on mine since out of country a lot, I just eye ball every thing else on as needed basis......the tires, brake pads, air filter, cabin filter, wiper blades, and battery. Most things that come through dash indicator is to get you to freak out and run to dealer. I put ceramic pads on the rear to stop the overkill dynamic traction control, and preliminary wear out.

Google what you asked, and you'll get other BMW owners that made a list for you.

Let me preface this by saying that I have no problem with Mobil 1, I have used it for years. However, Mobil 1 no longer has the LL01 Spec that is recommended by BMW.

The spec disappearing could be political or maybe it just won't go the 15k miles BMW uses sometimes.

I have read Mobil 1 0w40 used oil analysis for years, and it nearly always has great data.

Since I don't drive much I ran my Mazda RX8 0w40 for 7 years and 7700 miles.

Worst it did was thicken slightly.

Mobil 1 is good but I wouldn’t run it over 7500 miles in my bmw. Oil changes are cheap Preventative maintenance. Change the air filter and cabin filter every 25,000 miles. Check the brake pads and other fluids and you should be good to go up to 100,000 miles

Garage List
Said it many times. FCPEuro and their lifetime replacement, even on oil. Just make sure you return every bottle. If you can get "BMW" oil for $25 why bother with anything else?
