An early birthday present to myself for use next February when we go to Antarctica. I got a very good deal on it. Open box but never used. It's pristine.
It's an APS-C lens, so it's a 105-525 full-frame equivalent on a Sony a6700.

I got the "super secret" ticket link from my "sort-of" stepsister this morning (she's one of Tay-Tay's dancers), so I was able to purchase seven tickets to Taylor Swift in the Premier Section in Paris on Saturday, 11 May.
Tickets are a LOT cheaper there (at least on face) than here. $263.50/pp all-in with taxes and fees. Of course, they're going for $3000/pp IF you can find one-- I think there's something like 80,000 people who wanted tickets and couldn't get them? Yikes. It should be a good time. My "sort-of" stepmother (her daughter is the dancer), myself, my wife and four of our friends (three are ex-AF and two are current airline pilots) are going to fly over to do the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the concert, Giverney and Champagne. My wife and I are going over a couple of days early and are going to spend an extra two days in London doing the Tower, Churchill's War Room and the British Museum. Being grounded for my FAA Medical isn't a huge amount of fun, but there *are* a few benefits to it. R.

Wow, I never thought ticket prices would return to some semblance of sanity. Those are great prices. Good to have connections, eh?

Last fifteen years of maintenance and registration in place. All cigarette lighters unused looking brand new. The original plastic on the Lexus-branded towel next to the spare tire (can’t let the executives have dirty hands after they change their tire) was in place. I touched the plastic, and it and it disintegrated immediately. Towel is like new! Embedded tool kit (trunk) and first aid kit (under driver’s seat) look to have been opened by me for the first time in their life. All carpet (including trunk) looks brand new under the floor mats. Only thing I can find so far that doesn’t work is the upward movement for the passenger mirror. December ‘97 manufacture date parked next to my 80’s October ‘97 manufacture date. Color me impressed. Rotors may need a turn and brake system a flush. That’s all I can find through initial impressions. Maintenance agrees. |

A few albums for my collection. Bought used on Etsy. Seller graded as VG+, but I'd give them EX-... Always a good thing to have conservative gradings.
A few Doobie Bros, Santana Moonflower, Ted Nugent (for high school party days flashback).

Took advantage of the yearly sale at HD ($2/ 1.5cu ft) and picked up 60 bags of the stuff this weekend. Wife and I spent all day yesterday going through drip watering systems, burying the wires for my new low voltage lighting, and spreading that stuff. That much mulch only refreshes about 1/3 of our property, but we do a different 1/3 each spring. Needless to say I'm a little stiff and sore today.

Wife let me do a little thing this weekend. Now I get to correct everyone's pronunciation - saying it's Porsch-ah.
Needless, first P-Car. Manual 981 Boxster S - 19000 miles on it. Lacks Apple Car Play and a backup camera, so I'll have that taken care of in a week or two (already ordered). Deal is - I need to let the wife get a cat. Deal is a deal though....she's now searching for one.

We have several cats. I don't get to buy a Porsch-ah, though.

Firm believer that you're either a dog person or a cat person. Anyone says they're both are lying. I'm not a cat person...but, more on that in the Pet Thread another day.
